Albert J. Potter, III, 26, of Shippensburg, died Sunday, May 4, 2014 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born April 15, 1988 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, he was a son of Albert J., Jr. and Jill H. Huffman Potter of Shippensburg.
He was a former member of the West Virginia Army National Guard. Albert was a post member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223, Shippensburg. He was a 2006 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School where he played Varsity Soccer for the past three years and was on the track Team his senior year. Albert attended West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his brother, James Rutledge “Spud” Potter of Shippensburg, and his grandparents, James and Joan Huffman of Macon, Georgia.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 8, 2014 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg at 3:30 p.m. with military services conducted by the Shippensburg VFW and American Legion Posts following. A visitation will follow the services.
