Adelaide M. Fedock, 90, a long-time resident of the Episcopal Home, Shippensburg, died on the afternoon of Sunday, October 5, 2014, at the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
She was born on February 15, 1924, in Girardville, PA, a daughter of the late George and Catherine Stuzkas Matalenas. Adelaide married John Fedock on July 8, 1945. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1979.
Adelaide was a homemaker and caregiver for her daughter, as well as her sister, throughout her life. She was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, the Columbian Ladies, and was always volunteering for many of the different church functions. Adelaide was also a member of the Ft. Morris A.A.R.P. #2525, Shippensburg, and in her younger years enjoyed bowling, sewing, cooking, and working in her garden.
She is survived by her son, Jan C. Fedock of Chambersburg; one daughter, Marlene A. Fedock of Carlisle; and granddaughter, Janelle Fedock of Lewistown.
In addition to her parents and husband, Adelaide was preceded in death by a daughter, Carole; and seven siblings.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, Shippensburg. Father Dwight Schlaline will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m., Thursday afternoon, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Episcopal Home at 206 East Burd St. Shippensburg, PA 17257.
