Aaron Heaster Grove, 26, of Pleasant Hall, died Sunday, October 19, 2014.

He was born September 6, 1988 in Chambersburg. Aaron was the son of Ronald O. and Trina P. Heaster Grove of Pleasant Hall.

He currently worked for Gannett Fleming in Camp Hill where he was a software developer. During high school and college he worked at McDonalds, Red Lobster, and Ruby Tuesday. During grade school and high school, Aaron was an active member of Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, where he participated in children’s choir, the Bible quiz team and youth group activities. Aaron was a 2007 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School, where he was involved in concert, marching and jazz band. He played the saxophone in concert and marching bands, and the guitar and saxophone in the jazz band. He also played the piano. In 2000, he played Matthew Cratchit in the Totem Pole production of A Christmas Carol. He was a 2013 graduate of Shippensburg University earning a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering.

Aaron enjoyed traveling. He loved San Francisco, and recently went to Spain.

In addition to his parents he is survived by one sister, Rachel E. Grove of Sayre, PA, paternal grandparents R. Max and Sandra Snyder Grove of Shirleysburg, PA, and maternal grandmother, Dorothy McClain Heaster of Mapleton Depot, PA. Numerous cousins, uncles and aunts also survive. Aaron was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Leroy M. Heaster.

Aaron was kind-hearted, witty, intelligent, and a gentle soul. He will be missed by his family, friends, and his boxer-dog George.

A celebration of Aaron’s life will be held Saturday, October 25, 2014 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg at 10 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Robert E. Culler. An informal visitation will follow the services at the funeral home for those who want to attend.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
