A. Louise Lytle, 89, of Shippensburg, died Thursday, August 18, 2016 at home.
Born March 9, 1927 in Newburg PA, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Eleanor Bricker Hoch.
Louise was a member of the Shippensburg First Church of God, and their Berean Sunday School Class, sang in the choir, and was a church librarian. She also taught Sunday school in the pre-primary department and played piano for them. Louise retired from Shippensburg University in 1988 and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She was an avid traveler.
Louise is survived by her husband of 66 years Glenn R. Lytle, one daughter, Glenda L. (Larry D.) Bistline, one son, Scot A. Lytle, one sister, Dona (Terry L.) Helm, two grandchildren, Heidi R. (Alan R.) Guyer, and Rodney S. (Jennifer A.) Bistline, five great grandchildren, Rebecca, Joel, Levi, Kyrie, and Leanna all of Shippensburg and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister Wanda Sommerville.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2016 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home and Crematorium at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Jim Rogers, Pastor Heidi Guyer, and Pastor Rodney Bistline. Burial will be held in the Ridge Cemetery. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
