What a generous and loving brother Vic was to me and our entire family. Many memories of our relationship of 69 years. I will so miss his upbeat, positive attitude, his phone calls just to stay in touch and our singing special occasion songs to each other. My brother was my friend, confidant and mentor, many gifts of his spiritual life did he give to me. Comfort comes in knowing he is with his love, Nancy, and with the angels. My heart goes out to my Niece, Nephews and their families, praying for comfort and peace in their hearts. Love and Peace, Aunt Diana and Uncle Dale.

Then CDR Karcher was my Battalion Officer while I was at the U.S. Naval Academy (class of 84) and I remember our meetings fondly in which he provided leadership advice and guidance to a young midshipman. CDR Karcher always took the time to mentor and lead the midshipman under his command and led by example. I will always remember his sound advice and guidance and on behalf of 3rd Company offer my sincere and respectful condolences to his family. Semper fidelis-Sean M. Sullivan Lieutenant Colonel, USMC (Ret.)
