The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Wayne Hershey can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Deborah Diehl
Condolence: Please accept my condolences. Wayne was such a very nice man. He never had a bad word for anyone. He worked hard and would have given his shirt off his back to you if you needed it. I know he loved to go hunting and he went to auction with my brothers and husband on Tuesdays.. He always carried a smile and his smile was contagious. Wayne loved his family too. Well Wayne I have asked God to Bless your soul so you may Rest In Peace with your wife now. I know how much you missed her everyday and now you can hold her hand again !

Condolence From: Brenda Hershey Kelley
Condolence: Dear Wayne, Shane and Amy,
I am so very blessed to be part of the Hershey family. Some of my best memories of living on Airport Road were when your Dad would stop in for coffee and some kitchen talk. The talking sometimes turned into some head shaking and words of unbending personal wisdom. I think these were my favorite times because I always knew that however that visit went that there would always be another…always brothers and always family. A great example of the power of unconditional love and family. There were also the Wayne and Grace visits with maybe some card playing, lot of story telling, BS, and laughter. Thanks to Chincoteague, I spent a bit a beach time with a very young Amy and more recently with Wayne and Tammie. Family reunion planning has given me the opportunity to get to know Shane and his family. Thank you Wayne and Grace for all you brought to our big family and for leaving us with your wonderful children, my cousins, and their families. You are missed. Peace be with us all. Love, Brenda

Condolence From: Dennis Kunkleman
Condolence: Very sorry to hear the passing of Wayne. He was a great father, grandfather, uncle and a great friend of all who came to know Wayne. He enjoyed hunting, fishing going to auctions and most of all his family. He had a heart of gold. If anything needs fixed in heaven, we know you will be the first there. Rest In Peace my friend with no more sickness and pain.

God Bless the Hershey family in this time of sorrow.
