Louise M.  Short (Reath)
Louise M. Short, 94, of Chambersburg, departed this life on the morning of Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on October 16, 1923, in Shippensburg, a daughter of the late William R. and Ruth E. Witter Reath.

Louise worked as a seamstress at the former Stanley Co., Chambersburg, for over twenty years. She liked playing BINGO, jigsaw puzzles, and crocheting. Most of all, Louise looked forward to spending time with her family.

She is survived by three daughters, Geraldine “Geri” K. Sites of Scotland, Cindy R. (Gary) Shearer of Shippensburg, and Karen L. (Ronald) Graves of New Cumberland; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; one sister, Dorie J. Rife of Chambersburg; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald C. Stahl; her second husband, Bruce E. Short; two brothers; one sister; and one grandson.

Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, February 1, 2018, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Rev. Andrew Paszkowski will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
