He was born on January 4, 1938, in Orrstown, a son of the late James D. and Sylva Shoap Leberknight and was a 1955 graduate of Shippensburg High School. Ronny married Etta J. Gamble on November 13, 1966, at the Upper Strasburg United Methodist Church.

He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors, no matter what type of weather. Ronny enjoyed watching NASCAR and NFL football. He also loved working on Chevy Super Sport muscle cars, and had quite a vast collection at one time or another throughout the years.

In addition to his wife of fifty-one years, Etta, Ronny is survived by his daughter, Billie Jo (Charles “Mick”) Reed of Upper Strasburg; four granddaughters, Kaitlin E.L. Reed of Roxbury, Kierstin K. (Daniel) Reed of Lurgan, Kylee E. Reed of Roxbury, and Aurianna L. (Stephen) Lesher of Chambersburg; four great grandchildren, Kamdin Daniel and Alyssa Leigh Reed, Liam Allen Carbaugh, and Grace Willow Lesher; his brother, James D. (Helen) Leberknight.

His funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. Peter M. Beddia will officiate.
